Email clinic: four free ways to make AI drafts sound like you

Email clinic: four free ways to make AI drafts sound like you

AI is good at producing a polite email. Polite is not the same as useful, and it is rarely the same as your voice.

Here is a free email clinic you can use with Claude, ChatGPT, or another assistant.

Exercise 1: remove the fog

Before: "I just wanted to reach out regarding the matter we discussed."

After: "I am following up on the delivery date we discussed."

Prompt: Make this sentence direct. Keep the meaning. Do not add warmth or promises.

Exercise 2: protect the promise

Tell the assistant what it must not change: dates, prices, names, deadlines, and commitments. Ask it to list any sentence where it made an assumption.

Exercise 3: keep your rhythm

Paste a short email you wrote yourself and say: Use this level of formality and sentence length. Edit the draft below without copying phrases that do not fit.

Exercise 4: read it out loud

If you would not say "I hope this message finds you well" to the person in front of you, remove it. If the email sounds too smooth to be yours, put a little of your own phrasing back.

Five-second send check

  • Are the facts right?
  • Did the tool add a promise?
  • Is the request clear?
  • Would I say it this way?

Emply can turn this clinic into a short communication path with a draft, a revision, and a final reflection. The lesson itself is free. The platform helps a learner repeat it until the improvement becomes a habit.
