Choose the assistant that can handle the material, fit the rules of your workplace, and give you an answer you can check.

Use the four-question test

1. Can it see the material? A PDF, spreadsheet, image, or app connection may matter more than the model name.
2. Can I share this safely? Personal and company data need a clear policy.
3. Can I review the answer? If you cannot tell whether the output is right, it is not ready for an important decision.
4. Does it fit the job? A writing task, a coding task, and a meeting summary may need different tools.

A free comparison exercise

Take one low-risk task you understand well. Give the same input and instruction to two assistants. Score each result from 1 to 5 for accuracy, useful detail, tone, and editing time.

Do not keep the score in your head. A small table makes your preference visible and gives your team something to discuss.
